Harry Potter is a 12 year old wizard living in a muggle (non wizard family) world, who goes to a school for witches and wizards named Hogwarts with his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

Harry, Ron and Hermione are 2nd year (yr8) students in a house called Griffendore. There are 4 different houses, the other 3 are named Slytheryn, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw

which are all named after the people who founded the school.

At Hogwarts there are many different problems – from the use of magic, magical creatures and always the chance of being caught by Muggles.

Most of the time the solution to these problems – is magic!

This novel full of adventure and mystery is a really good book to read!

The Chamber of Secrets is about Harry and his friend’s adventure to find out about the schools secrets without the schools staff finding out what they are up to! It’s also about a diary Harry has discovered written by a past student of the school named Tom Riddle and what it reveals and where the information takes them.

I really don’t have anything bad to say about Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets in my book review! I loved the second book more than the first and I think the Author J. K. Rowling is my favourite Author and I think the Harry Potter series of 8 books are a great read for ages 5 – 199! J. K. Rowling also wrote two books for adults from her home town in Edinburgh Scotland - where she still lives.

I would give this book a 10/10 and a double thumbs up, and if I ever met J. K. Rowling I would give her a high 5 and a big hug for changing my life and turning me into a reader of novels.
