Wonder by RJ Palacio

Wonder is a book about a boy called August . August has been home-schooled his whole life but his parents decide that August should go to school. August is 10 years old and in year 5 so he is starting in middle school. He is a normal boy except that he has a deformed face therefore he has trouble entering the school gates for the first time.

I liked how in the book it shows other perspectives of the story and how it doesn’t really explain what August looks like in detail. Even though the book was brilliant to read it could have shown the mother and father’s perspective but overall I rate this book an 8 out of 10 and I recommend this book for ages 8 and up. There is a second book called Auggie and Me but it is not a sequel.
