In a world full of bloodthirsty people, one female and one male tribute from each of the twelve districts are chosen to battle in the Arena. They fight to the death, and there can only be one Victor.

The author, Suzanne Collins, was born on the 10th August 1962 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. She has written at least 9 works and has won 12 awards for them.

The book is full of so much suspense that your knuckles will get so white they will start to give off light. You can’t put it down until it’s finished and it has you agreeing with the characters, with an occasional laugh. Although this book was unbelievable, I would change the length of the chapters; they were just a bit long.

I recommend the book for anyone from 12+. This smashing novel is just amazing. 10/10. Absolutely.
